To get to Arequipa you can take 2 travel options: Travel by Plane to Arequipa: if you are in Lima the easiest way will be this option, since most of the local flights make connection in Lima, if you want more information about flights contact us. Travel by Bus to Arequipa: the trip can be very tiring depending on where you are in Peru, if you travel from Cusco it is approximately 10 hours, as well as from Puno, from Lima the trip will be very heavy since it is approximately 24 hours of bus travel, ask for our travel alternatives.

Itinerary

01:

Airport pick-up | City tour Arequipa

Upon arrival at the Arequipa airport or bus terminal, our staff will be waiting for your transfer to your selected hotel.

City tour Arequipa

We will start the City tour in Arequipa according to the schedule, we start with the pick up from your hotel to transfer you to the historic center and admire its beautiful main square. We will visit the Mirador del Carmen Alto, where you can appreciate the imposing Misti Volcano (5800 masl), Chachani (6000 masl), Pichu Pichu (5300 masl) surrounding the White City of Arequipa. Continuing with our tour in Arequipa, we will go to the district of Yanahuara, here we will visit the Mirador de Yanahuara, built with the Sillar Blanco, which is entered from the quarries of Añashuayco. Then we will go to the center of Arequipa to visit the Cathedral of Arequipa, built in 1656, which is considered one of the first religious monuments, the Convent of the Society of Jesus which is considered the highest expression of religious architecture. And to finish our tour we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina (1580), a small city built with material extracted from the Sillar Quarries.

Heading to the Colca Canyon

Colca Canyon Arequipa: day 01

At 7:00 am, we will start with the pick up of our passengers from their hotel to start the Colca Canyon Arequipa Tour. We will start the trip to Yura, visiting the Pampa de Arrieros and Pampa Cañahuas, where we can observe the South American camelids such as the Vicuña, llamas and Alpacas. Continuing we will arrive to the town of Viscachani where we will be able to enjoy a hot coca tea, in this part of the road we will be able to appreciate bojedales and lagoons where the migratory birds such as the Flamingo fly. Then, continuing the journey we will arrive at the highest point of our journey Patapampa, known as the Volcanoes viewpoint , after a short rest we will continue to the town of Chivay (3600 masl), where we will have lunch and spend the night.

Colca Canyon / Condor Viewpoint Tour

Colca Canyon Arequipa: day 02

At 05.30 a.m. breakfast at the hotel. as coordinated with our guide we will leave for the We will depart to the Condor Viewpoint from where we will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the beautiful valley that surrounds the Colca Canyon Arequipa. On the way back we will observe archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon. We will pass through the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma and Yanque, where we will stop to observe the typical churches, the handicraft center, the typical clothing of its inhabitants, among others. Then we will arrive to the town of Chivay, where we will have lunch and optionally take a refreshing bath in the Hot Springs of La Calera. At the end we will take our bus back to the city of Arequipa. 17:00 approx. Arrival to Arequipa.

Sillar Route + Quebrada de Culebrillas Gorge

We will begin with our excursion according to the schedule. After our meeting we will visit the Mirador de Zamacola, located in the district of Cerro Colorado, from here we will be able to observe the tutelary volcanoes of the white city of Arequipa,

Sillar Quarries

Continuing our trip we will go to the district of Uchumayo, where we can view the quarries of Añashuayco, which is born at the foot of the Volcan Chachani, also known as the Quarries of Sillar, this deposit of Ethnimbrite was generated in the Middle Pleistocene, and was exploited in the Colonial era for large buildings such as the Monastery of Santa Catalina and other palaces.

Culebrillas Gorge.

Continuing our excursion, we will go to the Culebrillas Canyon. It is said that this ravine was generated by a river that ran through this valley and over the years was evaporated, we will visit this ravine for a 30 to 40 minutes, we will also observe cave paintings made thousands of years ago. End of the service and back to Arequipa.

Transfer Hotel - Airport

After breakfast. According to the scheduled time you will be transferred to the airport or bus station. Nota: in case your flight departs at night, we can do additional activities such as the Pillones waterfall.
